“It is not the critic who counts…The credit belongs to the man in the arena, who strives valiantly, who comes short, because there is no effort without error. Who at best knows the triumph of achievement, at worst knows they failed while daring greatly.”
– Theodore Roosevelt

My training philosophy applies a pragmatic approach to achievement. Consistency and effort are the bedrock to progress. With a clear goal or target, tracking progress provides a fulfilling training environment. I believe in open feedback between myself and my clients, and communication is critical to a strong coaching relationship. Autonomy is my overall aim when I coach clients, I want them to take ownership of their training. The more they do this, the better their results will be.

PT Client Reviews
Cameron, EdinburghBloods AFL Player
“You could unlock so much of your potential by using someone with the knowledge like Rauraidh. Although I was doing quite well in my sporting career, the multifaceted approach of functional weight training, progressive conditioning planning and the psychological elements of the mentoring I have had from Rauraidh have put me in a far better position to perform than I have been before or would have been able to achieve on my own.”
Suz, Gym Baddie
“My positives – there are so many -I’m proud of my journey so far in becoming a gym baddie (lol) and found a passion I never knew existed – lifting heavy s**** off the ground & swinging from pull-up bars! In my 40’s, I am stronger than I have ever been, have a respect for my body that I did not have before, and I have a stronger and more resilient mindset – this carries over to life outside the gym too! I feel more capable!”
Finlay - Scotland Under-18 RugbyPlayer
“I came to Rauraidh to take the guessing out of my training. For a long time, I looked to social media/YouTube and other online resources to develop training programmes to achieve my goals. Rauraidh catered for any issues or queries I had. He also explained the reasoning behind everything we did, which reassured me that I was improving what I wanted to improve compared to when I was doing my programming.”
