“Physical fitness is the first requisite of Happiness.”
– Joseph Pilates
Edu Rotiroti is Level 3 Coach at Newtown, plus a Reformer Pilates instructor at Marrickville. His fitness journey started in his native Argentina, where he trained in Taekwondo. It continued in Europe as a semi-professional runner and a cross country warrior. His passion for fitness became his profession when he moved to Australia over a decade ago. He quickly realised that his real loves lay in the principles of biomechanics, functional training, postural re-training and injury prevention and management.
With his solid knowledge and experience, Edu has created his own innovative training method that mixes the foundations of strength conditioning training with pilates. This approach has proven to be the perfect combination to improve mobility, motor control, posture and strength in all his athletes.

I like to provide a balanced approach to training by prioritising quality over quantity. I identify movement dysfunction by observing fundamental movement patterns. I create the most holistic approach to functional training by improving mobility, motor control, core and gluteus activation. Then I apply those gains into compound functional exercises like deadlifts, squats, lunges, push-ups, pulls, carries and holds. First move well, then move often.

PT Client Reviews
“I’ve been training with Edu for more than two years. He really is an exceptional personal trainer. He’s highly adaptable and it’s clear he cares deeply about his clients. I started training with Edu after recovering from a serious accident. Over the course of training together we have progressed from recovery-type training to really ramping up intensive cardio and strength training.”
“As a beginner who was new to the personal training thing, Edu has been extremely helpful in tailoring both my training and my meal plans. He was very patient in teaching me certain techniques and adjusting the exercises to help me. Edu is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. He goes above and beyond just the 40-minutes session, with advice and updating of my profile via the app.”
“My trainer Edu is a sincere and dedicated trainer who shows great skill and knowledge. When I started training with Edu my goal was to gain strength around my joints, build muscle, correct posture and cut fat from my mid-section.
I’m 41 years old, have 2 young kids and work full-time. Edu always tries to accommodate my tight schedule. I’m super excited to say my posture is so much stronger and I no longer need to wear wrist and knee braces. Thanks, Edu! I finally feel stronger, confident and so much happier with my body performance and appearance.”
“I’ve been training with Edu since October 2018. He’s not only helped me become fitter and stronger but he’s also taught me the correct ways to approach exercises to improve my form and ensure I don’t injure myself. I really appreciate his approach to training, particularly his use of pilates in a lot of the workouts. As my preferred sport is running, Edu has tailored my training to help me become a better runner. I’ve seen great results in my times and endurance, and I can feel that my form is a lot better when I run. Being able to run my first half marathon in May 2019 was a testament to the training I’d done with Edu.
As part of my training, Edu has also introduced measuring my body composition periodically, which looks at measurements like muscle and bone mass, water percentage, metabolic age and visceral fat levels. Being able to review these measurements has helped me see and understand how my fitness is improving and how my body is changing. If you’re looking to get fit but also understand the process that goes into it, I would highly recommend Edu.”
