From the Gym to the Field: Training for Durability with Coach Pat (OneCoach Workshop)
THURSDAY 25 JUNE
If you’re dealing with recurring niggles or injuries from playing sport are holding you back and pulling you out of training or competition, this workshop is designed to help you build resilience and train with intent. This education-led session with Coach Patrick explores how to bridge the gap between rehab and return-to-performance, helping you align your training with the recovery process so you can move closer to where you were before injury - and beyond it. We’ll break down key injury sites and common conditions that can be effectively managed through strength and conditioning work within scope, and how to train around them intelligently.
You’ll also learn how to structure your training week once pain-free to maximise performance in both the gym and sport, while understanding when referral is needed and how to identify early signs of overtraining and overexertion. The session combines presentation with practical application inside the Force Studio, giving you real-world strategies you can implement immediately.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with:
- A clearer understanding of the rehab to performance continuum
- Practical strategies to manage common injury sites through training
- The ability to structure a performance-focused training week post-injury
- Confidence recognising when to seek referral or modify training load
- Tools to reduce injury recurrence and improve long-term durability
Whether you’re returning from injury or looking to train more intelligently, this workshop will give you the framework to move better, recover smarter, and perform at your best more consistently.
