OVERVIEW

Are you gearing up for City2Surf and looking for a training program?

Join ONERUN for this 6-week training block and remove the guess work from your training. Led by ultramarathon runner, Jen Irvine, this program sets you up for success by incorporating tempo runs, intervals, long runs and a final shakeout run to have you race-day ready.

WHAT IS A TEMPO RUN?

A key session for your City2Surf training, designed to build the strength and fitness needed to handle the hills and maintain a strong pace on race day. Tempo efforts are run at a controlled, comfortably hard effort, which helps improve endurance, pacing and confidence as you get closer to the event.

WHAT IS AN INTERVAL RUN?

A faster-paced session designed to improve speed, strength and running efficiency for City2Surf. Using short to moderate efforts with recovery in between, these workouts help you build fitness, tackle the hills with confidence and feel stronger when the pace picks up on race day.

WHAT IS A SHAKEOUT RUN?

A relaxed, easy run designed to keep the legs moving and help you feel fresh heading into race day. The focus is on staying loose, building confidence and enjoying an easy run with the crew — nothing too strenuous, just good vibes and getting the body ready to go to the start line on race day.

Please note that this event to everyone! If you are not a One Playground member, please ensure that you fill out a health waiver upon arrival if it is your first time attending.

The Bunker Games

Join us for the first ever Bunker Games - a member event centred around community, competition and fun! Step onto the Gym Floor and test what you’re really capable of. The Bunker Games is an in-house competition - a high-energy day designed for members, coaches and staff to come together, compete, and push beyond their limits. Expect a mix of strength and conditioning challenges, individual efforts and team-based events, all set in a high-energy, community-focused atmosphere. This is your chance to go head-to-head with the community - or even just come along and support your fellow members! Events include: Max Strength - Deadlift, Bench Press & Squat (judged on Wilks score) Strength Endurance - Max Chin-Ups & Dips Individual Cardio - 2km Row Time Trial Team Cardio - Ski, Sled Push/Pull, Row & Assault Bike Team Cardio is made up of 4 participants, including at least one female. Choose your teammates, nominate a team captain, and have them register the team. We’ll then contact the captain to collect all team member details. There are only 6 spots available, so be quick! Whether you’re chasing a podium finish or just want to be part of the experience, The Bunker Games is built to challenge all levels. Expect a live DJ, surprise challenges, awards and a high-energy environment from start to finish. This is a ticketed event with limited spots. Participation is first come, first served. If you’re looking to prepare, refine your technique, or perform at your best - our coaching team is here to help you get there. Spots are limited. Secure your place and be part of The Bunker Games!
